Chris Chambers CEO

Abundant Recruitment was established by its owner and managing director, Chris Chambers in 2015. Chris wanted to set up a dedicated specialist property recruitment company focusing on finding the best candidates in the property industry as he was getting very disillusioned by how recruitment companies operated. By offering an extremely personal and professional service, Chris transfers his 32 years of property knowledge and expertise to the property recruitment business. To make a difference to clients and candidates and to help change people's lives, for the better.

 
  • We meet with all candidate and clients to offer a truly special and personal service. All meetings and conversations are held in the strictest of confidence.
  • We take a highly professional approach and never send a candidates Curriculum Vitae to any of our clients, without gaining the candidates permission first.
  • We are straight talking, honest and conduct ourselves with both clients and candidates with the upmost integrity. We are looking for quality long term business and relationships and not short term gain.

Chris comments:

It was suggested to me by my father's business partner at the time, who used to work in the industry, that if you enjoyed interacting with people, Estate Agency was a good career to get into. I decided to go for it and started as a trainee on £1,200pa working a 60 hour week for one of the large corporates and I loved it!

I wouldn't have believed after I had my interview and managed to secure my first job in agency as a 17 year old , I would have stayed in the property industry for so long. But I loved it so much, was truly passionate about it and that's why I set up Abundant Recruitment, so I could pass on my wide and varied knowledge. As well as my expertise and enthusiasm to both clients and candidates, I am very proud of the high standards and reputation I have built over the years and can empathise with both clients and candidates alike about all the different jobs in agency, as I have at any one time, worked in the majority of positions from trainee to Director. I therefore completely understand what it is like and what the jobs entail!

On a personal note I am a keen sportsman both playing and watching, and for my sins, an avid Liverpool supporter, I love helping people and contributing to charities, as well as enjoying walking and going to the gym.

Victoria Thorne-Jones PA

I started my career as a Site Administrator based on large construction projects both locally and in central London. I loved the ever-changing environment and new challenges that each day would bring and was lucky enough to move from project to project with some fantastic people. These roles stood me in good stead for my move to HR Administration for a global FMCG Company, where I held positions in Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, HR Service Centre and HR PA roles.

Whilst looking for a role that would allow me to use my skills and experience and work flexibly around my busy family life, I found an opportunity with the fabulous Abundant Recruitment, and the rest as they say, is history!

I always like to come to work with a smile on my face and bring a positive attitude. I am happiest when I am working with great people, so I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of the Abundant Recruitment team, working alongside Chris and Lorraine. This truly is a company where people are at the heart of everything they do.

As well as loving my work, I am a mum of three lovely young folk, so we're often out and about having fun. When I get the chance I also love to run and enjoy a bit of baking.

Lorraine Chambers Consultant

Lorraine is a successful multi award winning Project Manager with over 20 years experience and loves working with people and teams. She has good people and communication skills, excelling in building and maintaining excellent working relationships.

Lorraine comments:

I first started out as a Technical Trainer, which I loved and helped to support and train a number of people across a wide variety of industries and with varying abilities and skills. This led me to move into Project management, leading and managing teams of up to 52 people, as part of multi million pound high visibility and premier profile projects.

My people skills and experience in recruiting personnel into key roles, has been fundamental in my success. I am delighted to say that a multitude of individuals over the years have commented on my pleasing personality and a flexible approach to work. I am extremely supportive and knowledgeable in my approach to getting the most out of people
